Modular Home Builder in Connecticut

C. Maratta Builders sells, distributes and builds custom modular homes statewide — factory-precision construction set on your foundation by a family business with 50+ years in the trade.

The basics

What modular home construction actually is

A modular home is a permanent, code-built house constructed in climate-controlled sections at a factory, then transported and craned onto a foundation on your lot.

Unlike a manufactured or mobile home, a modular home is built to the exact same Connecticut state and local building codes as a site-built house. It sits on a permanent foundation, appraises and finances like any other home, and looks indistinguishable from stick-built once it is finished.

The difference is how it is built. Walls, floors and roof systems go together indoors on jigs, with dry lumber, factory inspections and no rain, snow or job-site theft. By the time your modules arrive, most of the house is already done.
